Plastic can damage the integrity of essential oils and with all the goodness going into every jar, you don’t want to destroy it with plastic.
Here’s a brief overview of the 3 essential oils we’ve used in this recipe:
Frankincense oil is sourced from the gum of Boswellia sacara or Boswellia carterii tree which is commonly grown in Somalia. It has been used for over 5,000 years and boasts many benefits. The most common being that it reduces inflammation, helps to boost immunity, heal skin issues, fight infections and improves anxiety.
Lavender essential oil is the most widely used in the world. It has been used for medicinal and religious purposes for over 2, 500 years. Lavender essential oil helps reduce anxiety and emotional stress, improves sleep (as it promotes restoration), heals burns and wounds and alleviates headaches.
Clary Sage has also been used medicinally for a number of years. It’s a perennial herb which grows in the northern Mediterranean. Clary Sage is most commonly known as the top essential oil for supporting hormone balance, especially in women during that time of the month. Specifically, Clary Sage helps reduce cramping, heavy menstrual cycles and hot flushes. It’s considered one of the most healthful essential oils, with anti-depressant, anti-fungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, just to name a few.
